DR. TANYA L. DESANTO

Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (DDS, D.ABDSM)

Tanya L. DeSanto, DDS, D.ABDSM is a 1993 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School and completed her general practice residency at Georgetown University and the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV in 1994.

She has been in private practice for 30 years and the last 10 years has devoted a portion of her general practice to dental sleep medicine and airway management.

In 2016, she became the Dental Director for Prairie Sleep Center in Springfield, IL and is adjunct faculty at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where she enjoys lecturing to medical students and teaching them about oral appliance therapy. She is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and an active member of the AADSM where she enjoys lecturing, participating in panels and mentoring the new sleep dentist. This is her second year co-chairing the 8 month symposium, “Breaking Down Barriers for a Successful Practice Course”.

She is a fellow in the American College of dentists as well as a fellow in the International College of Dentists.

She is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Sleep Research Society, the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine.

She is currently living in Springfield, IL with her husband and three children and two pugs.

DR. ELIZABETH KNOEDLER

Dr. Elizabeth Knoedler has dedicated her professional career to providing her patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. She is continually educating herself and her staff in the newest techniques and approaches in order to provide her patients with state of the art, comfortable, and personalized dental care.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. And a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She also was a past president of the G.V. Black District Dental Society.

Dr. Knoedler is married to her high school sweetheart, Joe and they have two children, Brice and Camille.
